NYI Report
Greetings Dr. Hanson, NYI Council
Members and Convention Delegates;
Last week 165 students and 32
adults traveled to St. Louis, MO to participate in NYC 2007, the
denomination’s quadrennial youth conference. We experienced God is
such real and life changing ways it’s difficult to clearly put it into
words.
We experienced the Water of God’s blessings that flow from Heaven down on us
and crush us beneath their weight and explode from our lives to bless the
lives of those around us.
We experienced the Fire of God’s purification in our lives through
commitments to live the life He has called each of us to embrace, to change
our world, to advance His Kingdom.
We experienced the Wind of His Holy Spirit as it sent us out empowered with
His Love and Compassion and Passion for the lost of this world and our
oppressed brothers and sisters in him.
We helped provide a week’s supply
of food for over 10,000 families.
We painted schools, built homes,
learned to use our gifts to glorify Him, made new friends, drew closer to old
friends, sang His praises till our hearts burst and our throats were raw, we
prayed till we ran out of words and could only weep in His presence.
We were instruments of change in our world in His name. And at least 5
of our students embraced the call of God on their lives to full-time ministry.
Praise God!
Most importantly we met with God in
such a way that we will forever be changed and can never forget. In St.
Louis we held the Hand that holds the world.
Grace and Peace to you!
Respectfully Submitted,
Greg Palmer
