Good evening Dr. Hansen, Kyle, and all of the SWO NYI delegates,

In your Delegate books you will find a complete cash flow report for the year ending May 31, 2007 that you may look through, so tonight I just want to share some highlights of the past year from a financial standpoint. We ended the year with a balance in the checking account of $13,954.14. We have another $2500.00 set aside designated for General NYI Convention in 2009 for total balance of $16,545.14.

Some other highlights of the past year are:

The members of this district council work very hard to be good stewards of the money we are allocated to promote the word of God to the teens of this district through camps, praise rallies, BLAST, mission trips, and various other activities. This year, as you can see by our cash flow, we ended the year with an income of $13,027.35 more than we spent. This surplus is a direct result of NYC Income.

Highlights:

Outreach – Through your monetary giving at the district praise rallies, we were able to send $2678.09. This year to an orphanage in Galeana, Mexico. As a council, this orphanage was adopted as our district project this year through, and through your giving, the orphanage has been able to construct many bunk beds to improve the living conditions of the kids in the orphanage.

BLAST – This year we have good news to report on district BLAST from a financial standpoint. This year we were $317.18 to the good, and I want to thank Aimee and her BLAST crew for making the needed adjustments to make this a profitable event again.

NYC - NYC was a busy endeavor once again this year. We took in just under $77,000 in monies for this event mainly through credit card payments. What a blessing this method was for me, and I would like to thank the district for making this happen

I know there are a lot of numbers in this report, so if you have any questions I will be more than happy to answer them.

I know this is going to be another great year on our district, and it is my prayer that God continues to guide and direct us in how we spend His money this coming year to minister to the youth of this district and to help improve His Kingdom.

On a side note, I just want to express how awesome it has been working under the direction and leadership of Dr. Hansen and Gary Jones on this NYI council. Their leadership and their hearts for youth ministry give me great encouragement on the health of our youth on this district. I wish them good luck as they begin their years of retirement. It is an accomplishment that is well deserved.

Respectfully Submitted,

Scott Young
SWO NYI Treasurer
